Discoform

Discoform is the project created by French DJ, producer and saxophonist Alexandre “Lex” Mirabeau, an artist deeply connected to Disco and Soulful music. His musical journey began in the 1980s, when, still very young, he spent several years living in Mayotte, a French territory in the Indian Ocean. There he became a resident DJ in some of the island’s most vibrant clubs, bringing to his sets a blend of Disco, Funk and the cosmopolitan rhythms that defined the era.

Immersed in the energy of Mayotte’s nightlife, Lex developed a growing passion for wind instruments and especially for the saxophone, which over the years became his favorite instrument and his most authentic artistic voice. This evolution led him to combine the sonic approach of a DJ with the jazz and soul expressiveness of the sax.

From this experience, Discoform was born, a project that blends the heritage of 70s Disco with a contemporary Soulful and Nu-Disco sensibility, featuring refined arrangements that highlight groove and melody.

In 2025, Lex released his first original production, One World for Christmas, a complete project that reinterprets the tradition of Disco Christmas music in a modern way, enriched by the warm tone of his sax and an elegant, festive sound.

Today, Discoform represents the intersection of groove, melody and innovation, a musical journey that begins in the clubs of the 1980s and reaches the sound of current productions.
